Who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how Ingenium Software Engineering(“we”, “us”, or “Ingenium”) handles information in connection with the mobile applicationDustbound (Android package dev.ingeniumsoftware.dustbound) and the website at https://dustbound.app/.
Dustbound is a local-first companion checklist for tracking Sprite collectible progress. It is an unofficial product. Dustbound is not affiliated with, endorsed by, supported by, or connected to Epic Games, Inc., and it does not contain any Fortnite materials.

App
Summary
Dustbound stores your checklist progress and preferences on your device only. We do not create user accounts, do not upload your progress to our servers, and do not use analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs. The app may download publicly available catalog and events data over the internet so checklists stay up to date.
Information stored on your device
- Checklist progress — which collectibles you have marked as Collected or Mastered.
- Preferences — optional event timezone override and local Event notification settings.
- Content caches — copies of public catalog and events data used offline or between refreshes.
This on-device data is not transmitted to Ingenium. If Android Backup is enabled, the operating system may include app data in device backups according to your system settings.
Network access and permissions
Dustbound may use network access to download public catalog and events JSON feeds over HTTPS from hosting provided via GitHub Pages. These requests do not include your checklist progress. Hosting providers may incidentally receive technical information such as IP address and User-Agent. Ingenium does not operate a separate analytics backend for Dustbound.
If you enable Event reminders, Dustbound requests notification permission so it can schedule local reminders. Reminder content stays on device; we do not send push notifications from Ingenium servers.
Information we do not collect
Dustbound does not require accounts, sync progress to Ingenium, include advertising/analytics/crash SDKs, or collect precise location, contacts, photos, microphone audio, SMS, call logs, or advertising identifiers for our use. Purchases of the paid app are handled by Google Play under Google’s policies.
Sharing, security, retention
We do not sell personal or sensitive user data. Limited third-party involvement includes GitHub Pages (public feeds) and Google Play (distribution and paid download). Checklist progress stays in the app’s private on-device storage. Network fetches use HTTPS. On-device data is retained until you clear app data or uninstall Dustbound.
Children
Dustbound is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.
Website
The Dustbound marketing website at dustbound.app may collect email addresses onlywhen you use the interest signup form, for the purpose of notifying you about early release / launch of the Dustbound app.
Submissions are processed by Formspree on our behalf. SeeFormspree’s Privacy Policy. We retain interest emails only for that notification purpose, then delete or stop using them for it. To request deletion, contact [email protected].
Formspree Free plans may keep dashboard submission history for a limited window; we may export addresses as needed to fulfil the notification purpose before that window ends.
The website does not set first-party cookies and does not use analytics. See theCookie policy for details. GitHub Pages (and any CDN in front of it) may process standard connection/technical data when serving the site.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. The current version remains at https://dustbound.app/privacy/.
